Diego and Frida: Smile halfway
In a special ambience and atmosphere, at the beginning of the school year, in September 2018, in the National Assembly of Serbia in cooperation with the Embassy of Mexico, an unusual and beautiful exhibition of photographs of Diego and Frida was placed: a smile halfway.
The exhibition through the “lens” of famous photographers and artists of “important moments of life” depicts a part of the coexistence of two great Mexican artists, their relationship and “moments from life” at the same time symbolizing Mexican creativity and culture.
Photographers Giljerma Kala, Peter Jules, Giljermo Samore, Nicholas Murray, Edward Weston, Manuel Alvares Brava and Juan Gusman have documented an interesting, artistic, passionate, gentle but unstable love life of muralist Diego Rivera and painter Frida Kalo and presented their mutual worship and admiration, affirming that unusual lives often leave the ” fruit ful ” trail behind, not only for themselves, but for the nation they belong to …
The traditionally peaceful and friendly relations between the two countries have also translated into communication and cooperation with the Embassy and the Ambassador of Mexico Mark Antonia Garcia Blanko in Serbia, so it was an honor to attend the cultural event of the two countries which, in addition to common interests, have a bond and thread through culture and the giants they own.
